Man caused thousands in damage after repo goes wrong
On July 21 at 4:28 p.m. the Elk River Police Department took a report of vehicle repossession gone wrong on the 600 block of Dodge Avenue in Elk River.
The 44-year-old “owner” ended up driving the truck off the wrecker and damaging the hydraulic hose in the process, before speeding away in the truck.
Elk River Police Chief Jeff Beahen said he was caught right away and faces felony criminal damage to property charges, as he caused more than $4,000 worth of damage to the back of the tow truck.
