How we conduct business, changes daily and to ensure that company owners keep up with those changes, they need to ensure that they have good MANAGEMENT skills in place.  In addition to that you also need good CONTROL skills and COMMUNICATION skills, as without those three business functions, it will be extremely difficult to reach your goals.

Because MANAGEMENT, CONTROL and COMMUNICATION are vital areas in business, I have split them into three individual articles, beginning with MANAGEMENT.  For more information read my column.

All areas of business need to be managed and the Field Agents are a vital team of employees within a repossession company, that many do not attribute to them, how important they are.  Simply, without Field Agents, you have no company, yet within the industry, many are poorly trained, which also means they are not professional and are ‘loose canons’ and extremely dangerous.  Add to that, that many are not managed or controlled, and there lies an explosive cocktail that is literally a ticking time bomb!   It does not take much for a wrongful repossession to happen.

Scott Deckling’s article will give you a good insight into what FAST (Field Agent Supervisor/Trainer) Program is, as within it there are techniques, policies and procedures etc., that  not only help you to manage and control we should your Field Agents, but it also can increase your bottom-line and your client base.  He should know, he’s done it!
