Alpena man mulling plea deal in felonious assault case involving repo man

ALPENA — Prosecutors have offered a plea deal to a man accused of threatening a repo man and firing a rifle into the air as police surrounded his house.

Prosecutor Keith Edward Black did not disclose details of the offer he presented to Todd D. Dziesinski.

Dziesinski, 37, of Alpena, is charged with felonious assault in connection with an Oct. 7 at his home on Neimans near Lake Winyah.

Deputies and state police from the Alpena Post had set up a perimeter around the house after a wrecker driver from Jerome’s Towing accused Dziesinski of pointing a gun at him as he tried to repossess Dziesinski’s vehicle.

Police seized a .22-caliber rifle and a BB gun from Dziesinski’s home.

If Dziesinski doesn’t cop a plea by Aug. 2, he will face a jury in October.
