A woman ran over a repo man who was trying to take back her car late Monday afternoon.
Chattanooga Police were dispatched to a pedestrian struck call that occurred in the 3200 block of Through Street at around 5:10 p.m.
Police said it stemmed from a repossession of a 2002 Chevy Tahoe that belonged to Tia Thomas, 26, of 1308 Tunnel Blvd. According to the lead officer, Gary Phillips of TowCo Recovery on Airport Road was attempting to repossess the Tahoe when Ms. Thomas jumped in the vehicle and took off.
Mr. Phillips and his co-workers caught up with Ms. Thomas at Through Street and Greenwood Road. Mr. Phillips was standing in front of the Tahoe when Ms. Thomas struck him with it and fled the scene.
Mr. Phillips was transported to the hospital by EMS, and was in stable condition.
Warrants for aggravated assault were obtained for Tia Thomas.
