Skiptracing… Think Outside the Box!

With the availability to find public records to help determine the location of your skip, there are numerous ‘open source’ resources accessible free of charge or for a small fee.  Of course, we also have the ability to sign up and search numerous ‘pay-as-you-go’ types of databases.  However, with the use of the internet with just a click away, I want to share with you some sites that will provide you with an enormous amount of links for every State (and many county levels).

One site: http://www.brbpub.com/ provides links to thousands of public record sites and maintains a “public records blog” full of updated information concerning new sites, upcoming conferences, and legislative issues.  Additionally, it maintains a link to “The Public Record Retriever Network”, an interactive area where you can search for companies throughout the United States that can provide you information from state or local agencies.

The following links also provide an abundance of informational sites for free:

Another site to mention http://indorgs.virginia.edu/portico/home.html is a large grouping of online websites that will link you to publicly available information.

Each one of these links will take you too many levels of public records.

Remember when you are doing research to think outside the box.  Once you have learned where to find the links that will assist you in your research, it will be time to learn what you can find from these links.
