QUEENSBURY—A Queensbury man is facing multiple charges after apparently trying to stop the repossession of his vehicle.
Eric Edwards, 34, of Treasures Place has been charged with third degree grand larceny, a felony; and misdemeanors of reckless endangerment of property; fourth degree criminal mischief, third degree criminal trespass and petit larceny.
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office received a call on Oct. 20 from a recovery agent for American Lenders Service Co. of Glens Falls, reporting a problem with a person during a repossession of a Toyota pickup truck on Treasures Place.
Police said that while his truck was being secured to a tow truck on a repossession order, Edwards drove the Toyota off the tow truck wheel lift and fled the scene in it.
Edwards and the vehicle were located and stopped by Sheriff’s Office patrols shortly afterwards on I-87 near exit 19. 11-03-09
