WICHITA — A woman upset that her car was being repossessed Tuesday afternoon climbed into the car, struck the repo man with it and then drove off, police said.
The incident happened at about 6:45 p.m. Tuesday in the 2200 block of North Minnesota, police said. A 37-year-old man said he was about to have a black 2001 Grand Prix removed with a tow truck when the 34-year-old woman who owns it came out, forced her way into the car and started the engine.
She hit the man with her car, vaulting him onto the hood before he fell off to the side. The woman drove through the yard and then south on Minnesota.
The victim escaped with only a bruised leg and refused medical treatment at the scene. Police are still looking for the driver and her car.
