OKLAHOMA CITY — Auto repossessions are on the rise and the loss of a vehicle can have serious consequences. So if you fall behind on monthly payments, how do you keep the “repo man” away?
Jesse Grieb wants people to realize that the repo man is not the boogieman.
“We’re not out to get ya,” Grieb says. “We’re out to get the vehicle.”
He works for Aggressive Recovery, a repossession service that some people don’t welcome with open arms.
While showing us a repossessed car with a window smashed out, Grieb says, “Looks like to me the guy probably just tore it up. He knew the bank was coming back to get it and just trashed the car.”
Jesse hears all kinds of excuses from owners who have missed payments, but Express Credit Auto’s Jay Wiebe says they need to keep lenders aware of their financial situation.
