A former Westport auto dealer was sentenced to jail Thursday after pleading guilty to offering to eliminate car payments for several women in exchange for sexual favors.
Valerio De Mello, 55, of 3 North St., Fairhaven, was sentenced to six months in the house of correction on a charge of indecent assault and battery on a person age 14 or older.
De Mello, former owner of Val’s Auto Sales, 757 State Road, Westport, opted to waive a trial in the jury of six session and pleaded guilty. He was credited for 59 days served after being ordered held without bail in March.
