Man pleads guilty to shooting at repo workers

A Hoffman Estates man pleaded guilty today to shooting at employees of a repossession company as they were taking his sport-utility vehicle earlier this year.

Ronnie Kindred, 42, of the 1900 block of Brighton Lane was sentenced to 30 days in Cook County Jail and placed on probation for 29 months. Kindred pleaded guilty to felony aggravated discharge of a firearm at a hearing before Judge Thomas Fecarotta Jr. in the Rolling Meadows branch of Circuit Court.

Kindred was charged in January after employees of a Palatine-based repossession firm told police that they were shot at as they sped away in a tow truck with the SUV. No one was wounded.
